Stefan Schärf holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. In a study abroad programme he spent a year at the University of Granada in Spain. At the Hertie School, he specialised in public administration and management as well as in energy and climate policies. During his master´s studies he gained professional experience working at the public sector consultancy PD - Berater der öffentlichen Hand. Prior to the Hertie School he interned at the German development agency GIZ, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection and an NGO in the field of climate and environmental policy. His interests lie in public management, multilevel governance and different opportunities for cooperation.
