Conference to pool energy policy knowledge from Germany, China, California

Energy and climate policy scholars and stakeholders to convene at the Hertie School 6-7 Oct.

Scholars and stakeholders from three key regions in the global energy and climate policy debate – Germany, China and California, as well as other international participants, will convene at the Hertie School on 6-7 October at a meeting of the Energy Policy Exchange Forum.

Seeking viable approaches to sustainable energy policies, participants will tackle a wide range of topics from carbon-removal technologies to household behaviour and emissions trading systems. Hertie School Professor of Governance of Energy and Infrastructure Genia Kostka and Fellow Franziska Holz, will host the meeting.

It comes just weeks ahead of the COP 22 in Marrakech, at which global leaders will discuss concrete ways to implement last year’s Paris Agreement to tackle climate change.
