The Hertie School of Governance has, for the third time in a row, been awarded with the certificate “audit family-friendly university” by the initiative "berufundfamilie gGmbH". The certificate confirms the university’s dedication to being a family-friendly organisation for students and employees.
Anna Sophie Herken, the university’s managing director, supports the audit’s goal: “It raises awareness about creating an environment that facilitates the reconciliation of family with study and work. We believe the certificate is a stimulus to develop this further.”
In Germany 1.001 employers are certified as a family-friendly business or university. The audit is recommended by the leading employers’ associations. Patrons are the Federal Minister of Family Affairs Manuela Schwesig and the Minister for Economic Affairs Sigmar Gabriel.
