Alumni event

Climate-tech entrepreneurship – think big

"Hertie Alumni off-the-record" with Yair Reem

We are excited to invite you to the upcoming edition of the lunch talk series “Hertie alumni off-the-record”, a series of events that we have developed in close cooperation with alumni of the Berlin Chapter. Four times a year you are invited to join off-the-record talks by fellow alumni who are in key positions and will provide background information on current topics under the Chatham House Rule.

The next session on “Climate-tech entrepreneurship – think big” will be held by Yair Reem, EMPM 2010, on Friday, 11 December from 1:00 - 2:00 pm (CET) online via Microsoft Teams. Yair will share insights from his work as founder of a climate-focused venture capital firm. EMPA alum Adrian Sonder, co-initiator of the series, will be hosting the event.

Yair Reem is a venture capitalist and climate-tech fund expert. In 2019, he founded Beyond Black Capital, a platform to invest into breakthrough technology solutions that address climate crisis mitigation and adaptation. Yair also works with leadership teams to craft a strategic narrative that powers success in sales, marketing, fundraising and recruiting. Prior to that, he was General Partner at Hasso Plattner Ventures. Yair holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, an EMPM from the Hertie School and an AMP from Wharton Business School.
