The Hertie School’s Gender Equality and Sexuality (GES) Club, in cooperation with the Women's Leadership initiative (WLi) of the Hertie Foundation, is hosting a conference on the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation in fostering gender equality.
On Saturday April 14th, the second edition of the 'Cracking the Ceiling conference' will zoom in on gender and digitalisation, to discuss how we can overcome the challenges and harness the opportunities of digitalisation to foster gender equality.
The conference is a joint venture between the Gender, Equality and Sexuality (GES) Club at the Hertie School and the Women's Leadership initiative (WLi) of the Hertie Foundation.
Our collective aim will be to advance the debate on how digitalisation can or cannot contribute to achieving gender equality in our lifetime. As the next generation of policymakers, we will be discussing innovative and pragmatic solutions and ideas with senior professionals from a wide range of fields. Together we will produce a paper outlining the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation in fostering gender equality.
If you are interested in attending the conference, please registerhere.
On Sunday April 15th, the Women's Leadership initiative (WLi) would like to invite a select number of female participants to a working brunch, to reflect on the outcomes of the conference and discuss how we can individually contribute to furthering gender equality through digitalisation in our personal and professional lives. Furthermore, we will present new vision for the network, which aims to broaden the scope of the network in the years to come.
