On Thursday, 11 May, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm (CEST) join us for a virtual panel with alumni Ashley Chia (Executive MPA 2021), João Vitor Fonseca (Executive MPA 2021), and current student Tillman Rüther to learn more about their experience in the Executive MPA programme.

Speakers

Ashley Chia (EMPA 2021)

  • Ashley Chia is Regional Communications Advisor for UN Women Asia and the Pacific. Ashley studied in the Executive MPA programme focusing on digitalisation and big data. She is from Singapore and has over 14 years of experience as a journalist and communications specialist in technology, finance and international organisations covering Asia and Europe. She is currently completing a Master of Science in Gender, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2022/2023).

João Vitor Fonseca (EMPA 2021)

  • João Vitor Fonseca is a public servant from Brazil who has successfully managed projects focused on attracting investments and promoting innovation in the state of Minas Gerais. Coordinated initiatives that streamlined processes and saved the organization USD 7 million per year. His educational background includes a degree in Public Administration and Law, as well as an Executive Master's program completed at the Hertie School

Tillman Rüther (current EMPA student)

  • Tillman Rüther is a former staff member for both the European Parliament and the Bundestag, where he gained experience in the economic, transport and development committees. His core responsibilities were the taxonomy of the sustainable finance dossiers, Brexit and development. Currently, he is completing his Master's degree here at Hertie School and will be joining a public consulting firm to continue his work in the public sector.
