How does decision-making and critical negotiations in the Council of the European Union take place between Ministers of 27 Member States? Come join the simulation and gain practical experience into how EU policy is conducted.
On 22 October, engage in a one-day simulation of the Council of the EU, organised by Hertie School in cooperation with Model European Union Strasbourg. The event will be led by the Model European Union Strasbourg which is the largest and oldest simulation of the EU, whose conference takes place annually at the seat of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. This unique event in Berlin is a miniature version of that conference, with the aim of providing a deep dive into the complexities and challenges involved in EU policy-making and governance.
The event does not require expertise in politics and will orientate around the debating of the Net Zero Industry Act. Prior registration is required. Registered attendees will be assigned a Member State to represent in the debate and be supplemented with preparatory materials via email prior to the event.
