MPP/MIA Professional Perspectives Panel "Working in Public Affairs"

With talks by Jekaterina Grigorjeva (MPP 2016) and Daniel Polte (MPP 2015).

If you are interested in learning more about what it means to work in Public Affairs, this is the right event for you! Public Affairs as an umbrella term refers to individuals and organisations engaged in promoting the interests of their employers or clients to the government (also understood as lobbying). Career paths can thus lead to working for an agency for an array of clients, a department of governmental relations in a large corporation or NGO or an association of a specific industry. During this panel, alumni from the Hertie School will share their experiences while working in public affairs and give valuable advice to current students: Jekaterina Grigorjeva is Senior Manager for Energy and Climate Policy at the The Federation of German Industries (BDI), Germany's largest association of the private sector; and Daniel Polte is a Public Affairs & Public Diplomacy Consultant at Burson-Marsteller, a global communication agency. After their brief initial statements you will have plenty of time for your questions and discussion.

Please register for the event via Doodle by Monday, 4 December 2017.
