Professional Perspectives Panel "Job Entry in Berlin as an International Graduate"

with Mirza Shoaib Baig (MPP 2017), Kate Saslow (MIA 2018), Yuzhu Zhang (MPP 2017), and Barbara Brocksiepe, Agentur für Arbeit/Agency for Employment

The job entry phase is demanding for most graduates, but breaking into the German labor market as an international graduate comes with specific challenges – from language barriers to cultural difference to trying to navigate a system without long established networks.

During this panel international alumni from the Hertie School will share their experience of entering the German labor market and give valuable advice to current students: Mirza Shoaib Baig, originally from Pakistan, now works for ACGF- Credit Guarantee Foundation as the Head of Technical Assistance Department; Kate Saslow from the United States is now Project Manager for "Artificial Intelligence and Foreign Policy" at stiftung neue verantwortung; Yuzhu Zhang from China is an Advertising Yield Manager at eBay Kleinanzeigen. They will be joined by Barbara Brocksiepe from the Agentur für Arbeit (the German Employment Agency) who will share her perspective and talk about services for international graduates.

After short initial statements you will have plenty of time for your questions and discussion.
