This keynote presentation is part of the International PhD Workshop ‘European Higher Education in Times of Uncertainty’. Professor Huisman will reflect on key questions about higher education research previously submitted by the workshop participants.

About the speaker:

Jeroen Huisman is Professor of Higher Education at CHEGG. He holds a master's degree in Educational Studies from University of Groningen, the Netherlands (1991) and a PhD in Public Administration from the University of Twente, the Netherlands (1995). In 2005, he was appointed Professor of Higher Education Management at the University of Bath.

He is editor of Higher Education Policy, co-editor of the Emerald series Theory and Method in Higher Education Research. He is furthermore member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Studies of International Education, Studies in Higher Education, European Journal of Higher Education, International Journal of Chinese Education and Tertiary Education and Management. He was member of the Executive Committee of EAIR (and past chair, 2011-2016), a European society for linking policy, research and practice in higher education.
