A transatlantic group of researchers – from the fields of economics, finance and political science – attended the conference to discuss current perspectives on the political economy of international finance. Prof. Jeffry Frieden (Harvard University), Prof. Dr. Kai Konrad (Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance) and Prof. Jacques Mistral (French Institute for International Relations) launched the dialogue during a Public Opening Session on 3 February 2011.
