Climate change negotiation: Warsaw and the way forward

Lecture and discussion with Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)

Climate change is one of the greatest global challenges we face. At the UN Climate Change Conference held in Warsaw in November 2013, governments took another step towards a new, universal climate change agreement. Each climate conference is part of the process of establishing a path to successfully address climate change.

What was achieved in Warsaw? Where do we stand in the process of international climate policy evolution? What further concrete steps must be taken by governments to prepare for the 2015 Paris conference? Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), shared her perspectives in a lecture and discussion with the audience.
