Celebrating women shaping tomorrow
On International Women’s Day the student club “Hertie Women in Public Policy” launched the project "20 Years, 20 Women: Celebrating Hertie Women", aiming to showcase the diverse talents of our community.
All members of the Hertie School community were invited to nominate women. The call for nominations was open to all current and former members of the Hertie School community, including students and alumni, as well as former or current Hertie administrative or academic staff, faculty, fellows, researchers and adjuncts.
A jury composed of alumni, students, staff members and professors has selected 20 outstanding women to be highlighted through this initiative. The jury made its final selection based on several key criteria, including academic excellence and expertise, innovative solutions and creativity, community service and engagement, sustainable impact and inspiration. The jury believes the chosen women have significantly contributed to creating a vibrant and active Hertie community. The quotes below are excerpts from the nomination texts. In the case that a jury member was nominated, she abstained from considering herself for the final selection.
Views expressed by the nominees are their own and may not necessarily reflect the views of the Hertie School.
