2020 DAAD Prize and Dean’s Prize for academic achievements and engagement

This year’s DAAD Prize winner is Elise Racine, EMPA, while the Dean’s Prize was awarded to Anaswara Kovithal, MPP.

For the sixth year in a row, students of the Hertie School were presented with the DAAD prize and the Dean’s prize to students for their outstanding academic achievement and engagement. Due to COVID-19, the award ceremony was held online this year.

Elise Racine, the winner of the 2020 DAAD Prize, was honoured for her work on an FAF-funded COVID project. The Dean’s Prize, a book voucher, was given to Anaswara Kovithal this year for her engagement in advancing the School’s network in India and supporting Indian students during their transition to Germany and the Hertie School.

The DAAD prize is awarded by the German Academic Exchange Service and worth 1,000 euros, financed by the German Foreign Office. It aims to give faces to the many international students at German universities and honour both their academic excellence and social or intercultural engagement.
