Robert Lepenies received this award for his PhD thesis written at the Hertie School.
The University Witten/Herdecke awarded Robert Lepenies the "WIWA Young Scholar Award For Pluralism In Economics" for his dissertation "Losers in Trade: Economics and Normative Justifications".
Robert Lepenies currently works on a postdoctoral research project on the ethical limits of using behavioral insights in development policy. He holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford (The Queen’s College) and a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (with Distinction).
