EMPA: Welcome class of 2015 and congratulations graduates!

At the special ceremony today, 25 EMPA graduates will receive their diplomas, while 32 will begin their studies.

The Hertie School congratulates 25 successful graduates of the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) programme. They will receive their diplomas during a special celebration today. The Commencement speech will be given by Alison Smale, New York Times bureau chief in Berlin and Member of the Hertie School’s Board of Trustees.

At the same event the university will welcome 32 new EMPA students. The cohort is very international with 15 nationalities represented. The programme participants have diverse professional backgrounds ranging from civil servants at German ministries, international organisations and NGOs to private companies. On average, the new EMPA students are 36 years old and have 9 years professional experience.

During the two-year programme participants will advance their management skills and learn how to modernise public administration, as well as how to increase the cooperation between the sectors. In total 71 students from 22 countries are currently enrolled in the EMPA programme.
