Hertie School and HSE Moscow collaborate in statistics workshop

Moscow HSE and Hertie School researchers and students analysed a student adaptation of the World Value Survey.

From 14 – 16 December students were asked to analyse and interpret data sets from a survey of students carried out in Germany (Hertie School and University of Heidelberg), Russia (Higher School of Economics, Moscow State University and Lomonosov University) and the USA (Princeton University). The survey was by and large an adaptation of the World Value Survey tailored to a student population.

At the workshop, faculty members and researchers of both universities trained the participants in analysis and interpretation of data sets. Students were split into three mixed groups, each given a particular set of questions to guide their analyses. At the end of the workshop, participants presented results to their peers.
