Hertie School master’s programmes accredited for another eight years

German Accreditation Council confirms highest standards of MPP, MIA, MDS and Executive MPA degrees.

The Hertie School’s master’s programmes have once again received accreditation for another eight years. The German Accreditation Council officially reaccredited the Hertie School’s Master of Public Policy, Master of International Affairs and Executive Master of Public Administration. The Master of Data Science for Public Policy also received its initial accreditation for the duration of eight years. All were granted without any recommendations or conditions, indicating that the School’s degree programmes meet highest standards.

“I am delighted to announce the accreditation of our master’s programmes for the next eight years,” says Professor Cornelia Woll, President of the Hertie School. “This reaffirms the quality of our academic training for leaders in policymaking in the years to come.”

The German Accreditation Council is responsible for the accreditation of study programmes in Germany. Its decisions are based on a self-assessment by the university concerned and an evaluation report by an external expert commission.

The Hertie School is a state-recognised university accredited as an institution by the Wissenschaftsrat (WR), the German Council of Science and Humanities. The institutional accreditation was last approved in 2017 for a ten-year period.
