The 2025–2026 Academic Year was a remarkable year for the Hertie School alumni community.
In Berlin and well beyond, over 250 alumni showed up: as Chapter Leads, mentors, speakers, Alumni Council members, and in countless other ways. Together with the alumni team, local chapter leads organized over 60 events that brought together 700+ alumni and students across 23 chapters, networks, and groups worldwide. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave their time to make this possible.
The community also found new ways to connect and contribute. The Africa Alumni Network launched its Speaker Series, spotlighting Hertie School community members driving change in the energy sector across the continent. Alumni Interest Areas gave members a home for shared professional passions. And the first-ever Hertie School Alumni Scholarship took shape this year, a new initiative connecting alumni support with future students.
And then there was the Reunion Weekend. For the first time since 2019, more than 150 members of the Hertie School community came back to campus for three days, ten events, and the kind of conversations that remind you why this network matters. The reunion was also the moment to celebrate Karina Campos (MPP 2013), winner of the Alumni Achievement Award 2026, who was recognized for her entrepreneurial work tackling biomass and wasteful resource use. It's inspiring to see what members of this community are doing out there.
It's been a year of firsts and there's plenty more ahead. Come and be part of it, and check out the Alumni Year in Review report.
