Alumni video: Meet Alexander Reitzenstein (MPP 2016)

After studying public policy, Alex advises the German government on sustainable development and decarbonisation.

Alexander Reitzenstein graduated from the Hertie School in 2016 with a Master of Public Policy and a dual degree from the London School of Economics. After stops at a think tank and a consultancy, dealing with climate and energy policy, he now works for the Council for Sustainable Development, an advisory body of the German government focusing on sustainability and sustainable development. With us, Alex shared how he dived into the  policy area of climate change during his studies and how his MPP degree impacted his career - landing his first job directly with his mater's thesis. Watch the video to learn more about his fondest memories of the Hertie School and tips for living in Berlin.
