Call for papers: Empirical Peace and Conflict Research

We are pleased to announce that this year’s workshop of the AFK working group “Empirical Peace and Conflict Research” will be held at the Hertie School in Berlin. The workshop will take place on 21-22 September 2020.

The workshop’s aim is to promote exchange and networking among researchers in the field.

As in previous years, we invite papers that are based on theory guided, empirical research in the field of peace and conflict studies. We explicitly invite contributions that apply diverse methods ranging from qualitative to quantitative methodologies and are looking forward to a fruitful exchange.

Participants can look forward to engaging discussions and high quality feedback. Presentations can be held in English or German.

Submission deadline for abstracts: 20 April 2020.

Please submit your paper title and abstract (max. 250 words) via this website.

Local organizers:
Anita Gohdes (gohdes[at]hertie-school[dot]org) and Julian Wucherpfennig (wucherpfennig[at]hertie-school[dot]org)

Due to generous funding from the Hertie School, we are able to cover participation fees and will cover lunches and dinner during the workshop.

Participants are expected to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

We are very much looking forward to your proposals!
