Andrew Gelman, Mariah Craven, Alieza Durana and Mark Kayser discuss polling, polarisation and protest.
In a lively online discussion of United States politics on 28 October hosted by the Hertie School, experts looked at the upcoming election in the context of polling, polarisation and protest. They discussed the influence of recent unrest, demographic changes, and what may happen after the election depending on the outcome.
The webinar discussants included Andrew Gelman, professor of statistics and political science at Columbia University, Mariah Craven, a US political consultant who has worked with a number of Democratic candidates, and Mark Kayser, Professor of Applied Methods and Comparative Politics at the Hertie School. Alieza Durana, journalist and Hertie School alumna, moderated the discussion.
