What's new? | A change in our leadership

Explore the latest edition of the Hertie School newsletter.

Many of you will have read that Henrik Enderlein has taken the difficult decision to step down as President of the Hertie School to focus on his health and continuing cancer treatment. Professor Enderlein will stay at the Hertie School as a member of the faculty and will remain affiliated with the Jacques Delors Centre. We are immensely grateful to Henrik for his leadership over the past two and a half years and will continue to realise the vision he has had for the School. On his way to recovery, we wish him nothing but the best and lots of #hertielove.

Our mutual vision has always been to ensure that the Hertie School is a thriving community guided by academic excellence, where research, teaching and real-world experience go hand in hand. In this spirit, we were very excited to welcome Professor of Social Psychology Ruth Ditlmann as newest member to our growing faculty on 1 February. We are also very pleased to welcome Wolfgang Merkel as a visiting professor for the upcoming year.
