Andrea Römmele calls on parties to pick up the politicisation of the young generation.
The young generation is politicising. Week after week they take to the streets for the environment and climate change, or against upload filters. In German newspaper Die Zeit, Andrea Römmele, Professor of Communication in Politics and Civil Society, urges political parties to pick up on this momentum and involve the young generation, instead of remaining bystanders to their efforts. "Party democracy needs an update if it is not to lose the younger generation", she says.
