Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Public Policy Lynn Kaack told Der Spiegel about ways machine learning can aid sustainability.
As the world works to transition to a more sustainable future, artificial intelligence (AI) has a role to play, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Public Policy Lynn Kaack told Der Spiegel. She was quoted in an article on climate change and machine learning, along with several other experts.
"With AI, energy companies can better predict how electricity generation will behave," Kaack told the magazine, suggesting that AI-driven demand forecasting can help with the deployment of renewable energy.
Kaack is a co-founder of Climate Change AI, an organisation focused on using machine learning to tackle climate change, and she will also teach a course on this topic.
