Hertie School offers additional scholarships

The Hertie School is expanding the number of scholarships it offers Master of Public Policy (MPP) students.

The Hertie School is expanding the number of scholarships it offers Master of Public Policy (MPP) students: Graduates with a Bachelor Degree who would like to start the MPP in September 2014 can apply for, among others, the New Perspectives Scholarship. The School will be able to offer up to half of the incoming MPP students partial or full scholarships.

“One of the hallmarks of the MPP is a diversity of perspectives: Students come from over 40 nations and a very wide range of academic and professional backgrounds. Our graduates continue to benefit greatly from this diverse network on their career path. With our new scholarship programme, we seek to encourage diversity and give excellent students the opportunity to study at the Hertie School, regardless of their financial situation. Thanks to the generous support of various funders, we are able to offer scholarships to up to half of the incoming MPP cohort,” said Hertie School Dean Helmut K. Anheier.

The New Perspectives Scholarship is geared towards applicants who would usually be deterred from applying for the MPP because it seems too different from their undergraduate focus or due to financial constraints. Applicants from developing countries, as well as Bachelor graduates who are first in their family to pursue a tertiary education, or applicants with a science background wishing to complement their undergraduate qualification are welcome to apply. The two-year Master of Public Policy starts at the beginning of September 2014. The first application deadline is 1 February 2014.
