Hertie School offers new dual degree with the University of Toronto’s Munk School

Master of International Affairs students spend one year in Berlin and one year in Toronto.

The Hertie School has added a third fixed-track dual-degree programme to its master’s offerings. In cooperation with the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto, the Hertie School will offer a two-year programme, resulting in two degrees: a Master of International Affairs from the Hertie School and a Master of Global Affairs from the Munk School. Successful applicants will begin their two-year studies in September 2020. Students will enrol in the Hertie School’s MIA programme and take courses in Berlin during their first year of study. In the second year, they move to Toronto and enrol in the Munk School’s Global Affairs programme. The opportunity to study policymaking in two different countries gives the programme a truly international perspective, and provides graduates with the tools to tackle global challenges and devise sound policy proposals in an interconnected and multipolar world.
