Hertie School joins the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) as the thirty-ninth member and first German university.
Berlin, 10 January 2020 – The Hertie School is the thirty-ninth member and first German university to join the renowned Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA).
APSIA President Enrico Letta said, “We warmly welcome the Hertie School as a new member of APSIA - and the first member from Germany. Their graduate programme in International Affairs meets the highest standards and comprehensively prepares students for successful careers in international affairs.”

APSIA supports its members and associated study programmes through intensive exchange, a comprehensive range of information for prospective students and students of international affairs as well as networking with potential employers.
The association, based in Washington, DC, was founded in 1989. Its members include the international affairs schools of leading North American universities and graduate schools in Europe and Asia. By promoting academic training in international affairs, APSIA aims to contribute to greater peace and security worldwide.
The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society. The school offers master’s, doctoral and executive education programmes distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research.
