Hertie School students and alumni donate to Ebola survivors

Hertie School students and alumni have started an aid campaign for Ebola survivors in Sierra Leone.

Hertie School students and alumni have started an aid campaign for Ebola survivors in Sierra Leone. Joseph Ayamga (Class of 2011), who has been working with GIZ and Christian Aid in Sierra Leone, and his fellow alumna Laura Roman have called for donations to help the Kailahun Women in Governance Network in Sierra Leone. The organization is providing survivors of the current Ebola pandemic in West Africa with clothing, food, and household necessities.

Laura told the Sierra Leonian newspaper Awoko, who interviewed her about the campaign, that she was able to raise donations from former and current students living all over Europe and America in a very short period of time, because Hertie School students were “used to working as a team”.
