Peace possible for countries in transition? New workshop for alumni

The workshop in Bogotá coincides with the opening of the Hertie School Alumni Chapter Latin America.

We are happy to present a new workshop for international alumni that will take place in Bogotá from 16-18 November 2017. Funds from DAAD have allowed us to provide stipends for 10 international alumni, which will cover the costs for flights, food and accommodation for the time of the workshop.

The workshop “Making peace possible: Policy lessons from a country in transition” will focus on the topic of transition processes and the management of transitions. Colombia, as a country that is currently going through the peace-building process, will serve as an example. The workshop will include keynotes from alumni who work as practitioners in the field as well as academics, discussions and excursions to relevant institutions. It will also include networking and brainstorming sessions on how to strengthen our Latin American network.

After the workshop on Friday evening we will have the official opening of the Hertie School Alumni Chapter Latin America in order to support our relations and networks with Latin American alumni and prospective students.

The workshop is organised by the Hertie School’s Alumni relations team (Maria Bramer and Anna von Behr). The new Managing Director Axel Baisch will also join the workshop and is looking forward to meeting and hearing from our alumni community.

Update: Highlights from the workshop can be found here.
