#FridaysForFuture needs allies

Klaus Hurrelmann talks about the success and challenges of the new youth movement on rbb Inforadio.

15,000 to 20,000 young people went on strike for better climate policy last Friday in Berlin. They were joined by peers in more than 1,500 cities worldwide. Klaus Hurrelmann, Professor of Public Health and Education, visited the rally in Berlin and talked to rbb Inforadio about the success of this new youth movement, and the challenges ahead. "A political movement is characterised by the fact that it is not anchored in existing political structures. It draws its strength from this. But it needs allies to succeed politically", Hurrelmann said.
