The new class of the Hertie School consists of 48 Public Policy students from 14 different countries.
Alongside 27 Germans students, there are young men and women from all over the world. No matter if they come from Bulgaria, the USA, Kenya or Malaysia, for the next two years they will be joined together in order to prepare themselves for a career in public institutions, the private sector or civil society. The slogan of this year's official welcoming ceremony is: "Governance and the Common Good" and it took place on Wednesday, the 13th of September 2006.
