Hammerschmid, Wegrich international project to research e-governance

“TROPICO” to investigate collaboration and the impact of digitalisation in the public sector.

The international research project “TRansforming into OPen, Innovative, and Collaborative Governments” (TROPICO) will examine how collaboration of public administration with other public, private and societal actors can contribute to public sector innovation. It will specifically focus on e-governance and the impact of digitalisation on policy design and service delivery and runs until June 2018. It received a 4.75 million euro grant from the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020.

Hertie School professors Gerhard Hammerschmid and Kai Wegrich join an international team from twelve universities and research institutes across Europe, coordinated by the University of Bergen (UiB).
