"Nonprofit Organizations: Theory, Management, Policy" and "Philanthropy and Education: Strategies for Impact”
On Thursday, 15 May 2014, Helmut K. Anheier presents the second edition of his textbook “Non-Profit Organisations – Theory, Management, Policy”. The book takes on an international and comparative dimensions perspective, detailing the background and concepts behind non-profit organizations and examining relevant theories and central issues.
On the same occasion, the Hertie School welcomes Ekkehard Thümler (Heidelberg Centre for Social Investment), Annelie Beller and Nicole Bögelein, authors of "Philanthropy and Education: Strategies for Impact". Their work addresses the question of how philanthropic actors can make a more effective, beneficial and responsible contribution to the field of public education.
