Tobias Bünder is a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Johanna Mair. His research studies the motivation of pharmaceutical companies to engage in health governance projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. He holds a Master in Public Policy from the Hertie School and has completed his undergraduate studies at Maastricht University. Before starting his PhD project, he has gathered more than three years of work experience in development cooperation for GIZ in Tanzania and Germany, focusing mostly on the interface between trade, industrial and health policies in East Africa.
