Rebecca Segall holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance, where she was one of the DAAD Helmut-Schmidt scholarship holders. During her time at the Hertie School, Rebecca was part of the 2018 Jessup International Law Moot Court team. The team were German national runner-ups, and winners of numerous awards both nationally and internationally. Her professional experience includes working as an Assistant Economist at the South African Reserve Bank in the International Economic Relations and Policy Department, where her work focused on the BIS, G20, BRICS and the IMF. She also holds degrees in Economics from the University of Sydney, as well as Development Theory and Policy from the University of the Witwatersrand.
