Casper Claassen is a doctoral student researching social entrepreneurship in South Korea.
He holds BA degrees in International Relations and Philosophy from the University of Pretoria and MA degrees from the Academy of Korean Studies and the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, respectively. He previously worked as a part-time junior lecturer at the University of Pretoria, as a published research assistant for the World Bank Group's Global Delivery Initiative, and as a consultant for the Korea International Cooperation Agency.
In 2018, he was a Visiting Student Researcher at both Stanford University's Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society and Seoul National University's Graduate School of Public Administration. He was recently awarded the Korea Foundation Field Research Fellowship.
