Anselm Eicke is a PhD candidate and Research Associate for the Australian-German innovation partnership Energy Transition Hub, in which the Hertie School is a research partner. His research revolves around market design and the economics of electricity markets. Currently, he is focusing on the topic of locational investment incentives for power generation. He has worked in the field of academia at the Leibniz University Hannover and for organisations such as the German development agency GIZ and the Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft (BDEW). As a result, he has gained work experience in Germany, Mexico and Belgium. He received his Bachelor of Sciences in Energy Engineering from the Technische Universität Berlin and his Masters in International Energy from Sciences Po Paris.
