Anca Florian (née Oprisor) is a Research Associate at the Hertie School of Governance. Her research interests include the interplay between government and civil society; migration and asylum; comparative public management; and a special focus on post-socialist states. She has previously worked with the European Commission and the Open Society Foundations. She is also a Fellow of the Hertie Centre for Advanced Practitioners, covering migration and asylum in Eastern Europe. She is currently completing a PhD at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
