Esther Geisler is a Postdoctoral Researcher for Professor Michaela Kreyenfeld in the project “Absent fathers? The dynamics of fatherhood and partnership after separation and divorce”. She is a sociologist with research interests in family sociology and demography as well as comparative welfare state research with a focus on family and labour market policies. She previously worked at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research and the University of Rostock and was a visiting researcher at the University of Essex. She holds degrees from the University of Rostock and the University of York.
