Mareike Kleine is Professor of Global and European Governance at the Hertie School of Governance for the academic year 2018/2019 and Associate Professor of EU and International Politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research interests include international organisations, EU politics and integration, the dynamics between domestic politics and international institutions, international and comparative political economy, informal governance, and normative questions of global governance. Her book Informal Governance in the European Union was published by Cornell University Press in 2013. Other work has appeared in top journals such as the British Journal of Political Science, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Public Policy, and the Review of International Organizations. Kleine has held visiting positions at Princeton University, Harvard University, the European University Institute, the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin and the University of St. Gallen. She earned her PhD in Political Science at the Freie Universität Berlin.
Mareike Kleine will assume the teaching responsibilities of Markus Jachtenfuchs, who is on a research sabbatical for the academic year 2018/2019.
