Marco Oberti is PhD Candidate at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. He completed the Bachelor Studies in Political Science at the University of Milan, with a research thesis on Health Inequalities in the countries of the former USSR. Later, he moved to Berlin for the Master Studies in Sociology at the Freie Universitaet, with the thesis topic being institutional change in industrial relations in Italy after the 2008 crisis.
His main research interests concern the area of public policy (education, industrial relations and healthcare) and governance. The methodological approach is mixed.
Marco’s doctoral project concerns the role of social capital in shaping the outcomes of de-centralization in educational governance.
