Maike Rackwitz is a doctoral candidate at the Hertie School and was a visiting scholar at the Blavatnik School, University of Oxford. Her research interests lie in digital and urban governance. As part of her dissertation, she examines the public-private nexus and its shifting nature in cities. She also works as a research associate on the EU H2020 project "Transforming into Open, Innovative and Collaborative Governments" (TROPICO). Previously, she gained experience in various projects in the context of urban development and as a lecturer in the master's degree seminar "Planning Research and Policy Analysis - Strategies of and Approaches to Intersectoral Collaboration" at the Technical University of Berlin. As a research assistant, she held positions in the business unit "National Platform Future City" (NPZ) at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics and in the DFG research group "Urban Economics" at the London School of Economics (LSE) in cooperation with the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CMS). She studied economics, cultural and urban studies in Mannheim, San Diego and Berlin."
