Maike Rackwitz is currently pursuing a PhD in Governance and is also working on the European Commission project “Transforming into Open, Innovative and Collaborative Governments” (TROPICO) as a Research Associate to Prof. Gerhard Hammerschmid and Prof. Kai Wegrich. Her PhD-research focuses on urban governance and cross-sectoral cooperation. Previously, she gained experience in various projects in the context of urban development and as a lecturer of the master’s degree seminar “Planning-research and policy analysis” at TU Berlin. As a research assistant she worked at the business unit “Nationale Plattform Zukunftsstadt” (NPZ) at the Fraunhofer Institute of Building Physics and the DFG-research group “urban economics” at the London School of Economics (LSE) in collaboration with the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CMS). She studied economics, cultural and urban studies in Mannheim, San Diego and Berlin.
