Dr. Sven Rahner is a policy advisor in the strategy department of the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. He mainly works on the future of work and welfare in the digital age. He previously worked as a policy advisor in the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs at the German Bundestag. Sven studied at the Universities of Heidelberg, Toronto and Kassel. He holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Heidelberg and a Ph.D. in Economics and Social Science from the University of Kassel. Sven has published two books: Fachkräftemangel und falscher Fatalismus (The Shortage of Skilled Labour and False Fatalism, Campus 2018) and Architekten der Arbeit (Architects of Work, Körber 2014), a collection of interviews on the future of work with leading political thinkers.
