Lisa Reinsberg is the founder and executive director of the International Justice Resource Center, which provides information and guidance on international human rights protections. She also teaches human rights courses, including as a lecturer with the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and University of San Francisco School of Law. Previously, Lisa held positions at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, International Organization for Migration, Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice, and a number of organizations providing legal representation to migrants and asylum seekers, people in prison, and survivors of torture and police brutality. As a Fulbright grantee (2008-2009), Lisa carried out a multi-country research project on litigation before the Inter-American human rights bodies. Lisa holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego; a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center; and an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Her current research is focused on the accessibility and transparency of supranational human rights mechanisms, including in the resolution of individual complaints.
