Nikolas Scherer is a Doctoral Student at the Hertie School of Governance. His work centres on climate risk insurance, and his broader research interests are finance capitalism, disaster management, philosophy of science and European Union relations with the Middle East and North Africa region. Nikolas previously studied international relations at the University of Warwick and holds a BA in Governance Public Policy from the University of Passau. He also studied at Sapienza Universty in Rome. Nikolas works as project manager with Adelphi in the areas of climate finance and climate and security.
