Sarah Schmauk is a PhD researcher in the Research Training Group "The Dynamics of Demography, Democratic Processes and Public Policy" (DYNAMICS), under supervision of Prof. Michaela Kreyenfeld. Before joining DYNAMICS, she was a Fellow at the European Doctoral School of Demography in Odense, Denmark. She completed her studies at the University of Stuttgart and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, focusing on intergenerational solidarity and relationships. She also spent a semester at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul. She has gained practical experience working for the HUMBOLDT-VIADRINA Governance Platform, an NGO dedicated to promoting democratic processes and thoughtful governance strategies.
