German A1.1

To guarantee more and intense exposure with the language, the course takes place twice a week but over a shorter period of time (6 weeks) during the Fall Semester. It consists of 12 sessions à 90 minutes.

The course will be offered in 2 groups:

Group A: 
This A1.1 course is directed to beginners. The lessons focus on the key elements of language learning and will help the students to learn the essential speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The objective of the course is to get an understanding of basic grammar and vocabulary for everyday use.
Group B:
This A1.1 course is directed to students with very basic knowledge of German and is built upon the intensive German course taught during the orientation week. The objective of the course is to acquire basic written and oral German language skills.

At the end of the course, students should be able to communicate in everyday situations like asking and answering simple questions, understanding instructions and messages or introducing themselves in a conversation.
