Andrew Butler specialised in management and leadership during his studies at the Hertie School. His research focused on labour and educational policy in the European context. Before studying at the Hertie School, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Politics and Social Thought at Bard College Berlin. His professional experience includes working at Bard College, where he managed and developed international programmes, as well as at European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin, where he supported institutional development and alumni affairs. Most recently he completed an internship at The DO School Innovation Lab, a social entrepreneurship hub, where he developed and managed strategic initiatives in the areas of business development, communications and human resources.
